So far, I am not satisfied with my purchase. There are more flaws than I anticipated. The headlights look nice, but the halos/angel eyes are barely visible during the day and are not bright at all. They might as well not even be there. (Yes, I installed them correctly.)
When I attempted to adjust the lights, the screw on the passenger side for adjusting the lights popped off immediately. Additionally, the projectors are not aligned correctly and are pointing sideways. No matter how you adjust them, they will always be in people's eyes because they are sideways. While you should be able to align them yourself, the headlight lens is glued, making it difficult to adjust them easily, unlike OEM ones.
The rubber seals on top of the headlights were not installed correctly. One of them was on the headlight lens, which obviously is not supposed to be there. When I moved them to the correct position, it left glue marks that are incredibly hard to remove from the lens.
I would return them, but unfortunately, I used one of the boxes they came in as a mat, so that option is no longer available.

Had them installed today. Look great will see how they work tonight. Only problem was the connection wasn't compatible and the mechanic had to hard wire them

Because of the car design you game one 10mm bolt that can only be reached from under the car at each wheel well. It the most difficult part of the job. About 2 hours start to finish.

Question: I have these headlights installed on my 2005 MK4 Volkswagen Jetta GLI 1.8t and the driver's side low-beam does not function as it should. Rather than coming on as a low-beam headlight it appears that it is acting as the left-turn signal. I have checked the bulb, wiring and wiring harsness connectors and everything seems to be okay. What could be the issue? (sidenote: I am not able to choose the actual year that my vehicle was produced (2005) without it defaulting to becoming a MK5 Jetta GLI. I have an 2005 MK4 Jetta GLI... The MK4 platform was supported through June 2005 after which the MK5 platform took over which is normally denoted 2005.5. I realize this is a minor technicality and don't think that much changed between 2004 20th AE MK4 GLI production and 2005 MK4 GLI (20th) production but who knows...)A Shopper / Sep 20, 2020
Hello! That is super strange! How did you check the wiring? Did you go pin by pin to see what wires are getting power when the head lights and turn signals are on? If so, are the the same pins on both headlights? Lastly, why did you replace your headlights, and do you know if they acted similarly before you replaced them?
