Excellent product, only 4 stars because I’m disappointed they don’t include wiring pigtails. Since the wiring notoriously gets cracked and corroded with age.

Good comparable quality to the OEM Hella equivalent. Installed with HID bulbs, these headlights make it a dream to drive at night. Euro Beam pattern that is far superior to U.S.

I just had to replace the radiator in my passat and since the headlights required to remove most of the grille I had my VW dealer to install the headlights also and I'm glad that I did since the adjustment screws didn't work and the new headlights were every where but the road which I found out the next morning on my way to work. I said something to the dealer and he gave me a loaner car much newer than mine to use and that was over a week ago, and I gave him the order info and he said he would get back to me I also told him to take his time since I had their car to use but I think that I will have to give him a call and see if he forgot about me I am guessing he sent them back and is waiting for replacement ones. I really can't answer your question about the red lights but at least they won't need to be adjusted. The headlights looked great and almost made me want to wash and clean up my car from the winter but I have to get it back first.

I ordered LED bulbs from Headlight Experts. Direct plug in BUT was not able to use the included rear caps designed for Halogen bulbs. These caps provide a weather seal for the bulb assembly. Appropriate caps for the LED bulbs were not included by Headlight Experts, meaning I needed to either fabricate something to provide a weather seal or leave the lense internals exposed to the elements. I returned the LED bulbs to Headlight Experts and continue to use Halogen.
One other comment on the replacement assemblies: the adjusters are rather flimsy (had to return one) and difficult to achieve correct adjustment. (VW certified technician did my install). That said, mine are working well and I'm happy to have been able to renew my yellowed and cracked OEM bulb assemblies with this product.
