Question: Is this headlight for my 2003 Lexus ES 300 an HID headlight?Deb K. / May 16, 2022
I was told I was getting the right one for a pre 6/04 with HID but they sent the post 6/04. As that wasn’t the first delivery error, I paid the extra and got the right unit from Lexus using the VIN.

No its a Halogen bulb. If you are sure yours has HID bulbs I would contact customer service for proper application because from what I can see they don't offer one. But I could be wrong.

Question: My mechanic says not only does the bulb needs to be replaced on the left side of my ES300 headlight but so does the box in which the bulb fits. Is this what I need to replace the whole headlight?Deb K. / May 13, 2022

Deb, if only a bulb is out and you just want to replace the bulbs, no. If your headlights are dull and oxidized I would recommend replacing the entire headlight assembly. It made my 17 year old vehicle look like new and I can see better at night. "Safety First".

I concur with Aldrin P: Light cassettes (for L&R) are aftermarket OEM — same as originals. All new assemblies that plug in as intact units.
