Question: CAN LED BULBS BE USED WITH THESE HEADLIGHTS ?Mark W. / Apr 04, 2020
I have been researching this as well, and my conclusion is this. Only certain model LED bulbs that can actually fit with the cover on the back of the headlight unit. Also led bulbs that have fans for the heatsinks may not fit as well and will only circulate hot air inside the headlight unit. I have been very skeptical at installing them in the Projector series of headlight units for this model for these reasons. But you could always try and let us know here if you find anything.

Yes. I’m currently using Fahren Termitor LED bulbs and they’re the best brand I’ve tried.

Hi Steve, I'm glad to assist you. No, replacing the whole headlight assembly is not a 100% solution. A "signal fail" warning on a Ram truck's dashboard, coupled with fast flashing, can indicate various electrical issues, often related to the vehicle's lighting systems. A burnt-out bulb is one usual suspect. Another cause is a bad LED bulb that does not have a matching load resistor. Please have your truck checked in real-time by a professional mechanic to identify the problem accurately.

It did for me, some of my LED turn signals in the headlight no longer functioned due to condensation. Replacing with this eliminated the dash warning and fast signal. It took driving the vehicle a few times before the warnings stopped.

Make sure the connector is fully seated and locked. If you can pull it off without pressing the lock release it is not fully seated, I had to trim about 1/8" off of the oval connector body to get it to fit, If it is not fully seated you will get a turn signal bulb error.
