Visually it looks identical to my 2018 Sentra S in which I replaced my passenger H/lp assy. But this is a small picture with no backside view. I did think that the front assemblies were common in the yrs 2017-2019 with 2016 the different model type.

No, The "mounting hardware" might be assumed to be separate pieces on the backside called the housing, but it is one single molded piece: One large black plastic molded piece that is bonded to the clear lens. This is one reason the price is low (it is) compared to many lamps. Even if the housing could be purchased as a separate unit and bonded to the lens, it wouldn't be advisable due to the potential of moisture intrusion (more probable than not) which would lead to fogging, leaks, rusting of the bulbsocket...etc. The lamp is a safety item like your brakes, and most people would not have the expertise to do this correctly. Just be happy that a complex lamp cost about the same as a couple of oil changes!

I retired as an exterior lighting design engineer and may know a few things about the product. First, my replacement headlamp assembly was fine without defects of significance. Fit and function were good, and you cannot beat the price esp. considering the bulbs were included. Both vent tubes on the backside were slightly loose on the rear housing and I added a small bit of silicone based epoxy to keep it in place. You will want to make sure the bulbs match from passenger to drivers side as people often upgrade to higher intensity bulbs (they have 3 versions) that they will market. Don't rush the installation as the working area Nissan allowed was marginal for service, at best. The lens should come with a protective film. Leave it on the lens until installed. Wear cotton gloves if you need to handle a bulb as your skin contains oils which will shorten the life of the bulb and be very careful with the bulb clip (plastic clip holding the bulb in place). It is made of heat resistant plastic which is not flexible and will easily break off. Ignore slight differences between the OEM (factory) version as they do not affect the function. Headlamps are not thought of as precision instruments, but they are. Some people try and "modify" them to be "cool" or overly bright, which can be dangerous. It is wise to replace a bad or damaged lamp as the are not really "fixable"as some people may have you think.
