Hi Ralph, thank you for reaching out. A halogen headlight has a yellowish-white light output and the HID (high-intensity discharge or Xenon brand) headlight has a whiter light output. You can also check if the headlight has a ballast for the HID bulb. Another option is to reach out to your local dealership for the specifications and features of your car. They may be able to help. Hi John, I'm glad to help you out. This halogen assembly is not compatible with the models that came originally with xenon headlights. Unfortunately, an HID bulb and ballast will not work on this headlight. We have the correct one for the Nissan Maxima under part number REPN100141.
