I purchased and installed new headlights to replace my old ones with degraded lenses. These lights are of high quality and fit nicely. I recommend searching for a YouTube video for installation instructions - you'll need to remove the front bumper and grill - it's helpful to know where all the screws and clips are located. As for results, I can't believe how much better I can see the road at night and my car looks 10 years newer!

I had to do my homework before ordering. Went to a Toyota online parts site to get the correct OEM part number for the type of model and year I was buying for. Apparently they have different headlamp assembles for the different models and where the SUV was mfg. I would highly recommend that you do the same. Mine happened to be made in Canada and was a Basic model. The head lamp fits great with no adjustment needed on the beam height. Also you will need all new plastic clips for all the parts (bumper / grill cover, top cover under hood) that you will need to take off to get to the headlamps.
I was able to match up the OEM part number with what Carparts had on their site which aloud me to get the correct part for my SUV. I could not do that on other sites

Question: How can I tell if my 2011 Toyota Rav4 (Base Model) is American made?

Hi Scott,
The origin of the vehicle is found on the 1st character of the VIN. If it is a "J" it is made in Japan, "K" is for Korea. If it starts with a number usually it is made in the US, Canada, Mexico, or Northern America.

Answered by Grace G. / Tue, Oct 06The VIN says where it is made. If the first number in the VIN is a 2 then it was made in Canada. The 2011 rav4 was made in Canada and shipped to the USA. If the first part of the VIN starts with a J then it was made in Japan. This website says USA model but they actually mean Canada.
