Hey Joe. The key word here is Sport. There are two headlight designs. They have different wire harnesses. The distinguishing feature is a black horizontaln line between the high and low beam elements. Sport is the model designation commonly overlooked.

This fits only the "L" submodel of the 2003 Subaru Legacy. If you either have the GT or L-SE submodel, this is not compatible.

No, these headlights will not fit a1999 Outback. First, these are Subaru Legacy headlights, and would require modification of the wiring harness on an Outback. Secondly, these lights are for model year 2000 and up. They won’t fit in a 1999.
