No, the HID headlight uses a different wiring system compared to halogen type headlight.

Hello! That is really odd! There must be a wiring short somewhere in the wiring harness. Was the vehicle in an accident?

Answered by Mitchell D. / Wed, May 19Little lato to this but yes definitely check the wiring, possible bad ground, and ensure the pigtail has a good connection. Dielectric grease the plug to ensure a good ground, check wiring, and inspect the socket; sometimes the connectors tend to push out of its holder, age...

This set of headlights has a halogen light source and does not need a ballast. You must be referring to an HID headlight that has the ballast.
