Good enough, but takes a bit of work.Passenger Side Headlight, With Bulb, Halogen, Production Date From March 2000

Lenses are very nice and clear. Came with both hi/lo and turn signal bulbs. Came with all new connectors. My only real problem is the mounting points kind of suck. All of the black plastic is extremely flimsy. The little posts that help align the bezel broke off with absolutely no force (I was switching the chrome bezel for the color-matched one from the OEM assemblies). The guide posts on the outside edge were thick enough not to break when you breathed on them, but they were also thicker than OEM. I had to trim them with a utility knife to get them to fit through the holes on the OEM bezel and the alignment holes on the truck body. Overall, I'm pleased with the product for the price. I spent a good amount of time trying to restore my OEM lights, only to have the 20-year-old bolts break when I took them off to re-paint he bezels. While these were a bit frustrating to get on the truck, the difference in clarity compared to even my restored OEMs is night and day. Small price to pay for clear, safe lights.

Question: Hello ! how hard is it to change these out? thank youjakeboy / Apr 23, 2021
Hi Jim, I'm glad to help you out. These are direct replacement headlight assemblies without any modification on installation. The plug-in connectors are easy as plug-and-play, and the bolts are all visible on top of the headlight that is fairly easy to reach. I hope this helps, and you can click on the link below for direct ordering to take advantage of our ongoing sale. Happy shopping. https://www.carparts.com/headlight/replacement/set-m100103?can=CPAE1047

Depends on your definition of hard. Two of the screws are right on top in plain sight and you think this is going to be a piece of cake. The next two are behind a section of the front grill. No big deal as long as you watch a video that shows how to release the grill without destroying it. The last two are another matter entirely. They have to be accessed through the wheel well. I suppose if you're a five foot tall contortionist and comfortable working in tight spaces, it might be easy. If you're a creaky 6' 2" 270 lb 65 yr old, not so much. A section of the splash guard in the wheel well has to be partially dismounted to reach the screws behind it. They are pretty awkward to see and reach. Lucky for me, I have a friend who works in a repair shop. He took the car in and put it up on the lift which made the wheel well screws infinitely easier to do.

Hi Adair, I'm glad to assist you. No, they wouldn't. We don't have headlights available for the 2006 Montero. We suggest checking the local part stores around your area on what they have available to offer you. I hope this helps, and we thank you for inquiring.
