Very unhappy with light.
It looks great but the light output is not correct. There is a shadow in the middle of the light stream.
There is a defect in the manufacturing.
I sent the first light back and they sent a replacement to me free of charge but the replacement light has the same defect. I am going to the dealer and have them install original bmw light.
**the bumper has to come off to install the component.

Hi Guillermo, I am pleased to assist you. Yes, the 2006 BMW X3 can be upgraded from halogen to xenon headlights but requires modifications due to wiring and compatibility differences. Xenon headlights require ballasts, igniters, and a different wiring harness and may not recognize the headlight control module without reprogramming, and the cost for all of that would be really expensive. Alternatively, you can retain the halogen light source system and simply replace the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs if your goal is to have brighter beams. Most LED light bulbs are now designed to retrofit to existing halogen light fittings. Just make sure to get the same base as the original bulbs. A simpler alternative that provides brighter lighting without as many compatibility issues as xenon.
