This is just the lens and housing assembly only for the HID type of headlight, without HID bulb and ballast(module/ballast/igniter). You have to use the original ones if both are still ok.

As per the fitment details, this does not come with the HID bulbs and ballast.

I am looking at replacing the assemblies with this set, what does the wire connector go to that comes directly off the 8 pin/wire connector?

Hi Douglas, I'm glad to assist you. These are not compatible with the existing wiring harness of the 350Z if it came with halogen headlights originally. But if you want to upgrade your headlights to HID, you can check for a conversion kit at the local part stores around your area. I hope this helps, and we thank you for inquiring.
