Success, FINALLY!Driver Side Headlight, With Bulb, Halogen, Hybrid Model, Usa Built Vehicle
5.0/5
I was given a 2013 Camry Hybrid from my father-in-law, who was on his 4th set of headlights. The first were damaged in an accident, but after the replacement set was very dim, they decided to take it to a repair shop to get help and brighter lights. A 3rd set was installed professionally, nothing improved, and neither did the 4th set. They just gave up on the headlights and ultimately the car. So I get this car and am excited for the solid vehicle for my 16 year-old, but once I learn how dim the lights are and how low the beams are angled (like you can only see 25 ft ahead of you at night), I see how dangerous this really is. Of course, you jump on to the internet to see this is a very common problem, and while people seem to fix it, I'm skeptical because this car has already been through 3 replacement headlights and none seem to do the fix. Prior to purchasing these fixtures, I looked into bulb choices and low beam alignment to see if that would fix anything. I found the alignment screw on the back of the fixtures, pointed my lights at the garage door, put lines of tape where the beams hit, and started adjusting. They did absolutely nothing. This lead to my further skepticism that a replacement will make a difference. Long story short, these completely worked. The low beam alignment worked, so I was able to raise the level of the beam a tad to see more of the road, and the lights are clearer and brighter. On top of that, I also did the "h11 to h9 conversion", using h9 bulbs which are decently brighter. Now I can see plenty down the road and feel 200% safer for me and my kids driving the car. Hope this info helps others struggling with low lights on a Camry. See my pic once I fixed one of the headlights, can you see the difference?

Question: What makes this better than th $113 set other than including bulbs?NICK D. / Jul 20, 2022
Hi Nick, I'm glad to assist you. These are only for the US-built Hybrid models. These are not better but different from the other assemblies we have for the Camry. I hope this helps and happy shopping.

6 bulbs are not cheap and you don’t have to touch them.

There may have been some variation between vehicles that were Japan built vs USA built. As I recall, that was the spec line difference when I ordered. Went with the USA version for my 2007 Camry Hybrid and it was an easy swap!

Question: Does the headlights have the outside cover?Bryan P. / Sep 24, 2020
Hi Bryan, Yes, there is a clear polycarbonate plastic lens on the headlights. This strong plastic is perfect for taking on harsh road conditions without breaking. To protect it, manufacturers coat the lenses with a UV protective film.
