I have a 2019 gmc 1500 and I am looking to stop the rear of the truck from sagging so much when I pull my trailer ( it drops about 3” when I put my loaded trailer on) but I don’t want to make it ride rough when unloaded. I have head air bags make it rough riding when empty. How do these overloads make it ride. Also you are showing the 200lbs version but if I look on the hellwig web site the recommended the 5000 lb version. What is the best?Rex B. / Sep 20, 2021
Hello! I would recommend adding airbag springs to your vehicle. The Hellwig helper springs are not meant to increase your towing capacity. Airbags do not make your vehicle ride rough as long as you let out some air when you do not need the added support

Hi Greg, I'm pleased to assist you. No. Helper springs are designed to supplement the factory rear suspension. They are not designed to increase the truck's official load-carrying capacity. A leaf spring helper appears to lift the truck because it eliminates the sag commonly seen when a truck is loaded to its full capacity. They will help maintain stock ride height but not go over it.
