As per checking, we don't have the strike that goes on the hood to go into the latch. We only handle the hood latch and hinges.

Hi,
Unfortunately, we do not carry that. That usually comes with the hood assembly welded already. You have to check used car lots to get that piece.

Hi,
You can trip the latch to have the hood pop open. For this, you would need a long thin screwdriver and then start poking from under the hood to find the latch. If there is no way to insert a screwdriver then use a wire coat hanger. Once you locate the latch tug on it and the hood should open. This hood latch is guaranteed to fit the 1998 Ford Mustang GT 8 Cyl 4.6L.

Hello, the hood or latch may be cracked or not aligned properly. Also, the release cable may be stretched, kinked, or not adjusted properly.
