This hood was fantastic. It came packaged in a 100% damage free cartoon. Then inside it was bubble wrappped at in a cardboard sleeve. I laid it in palce to be sure it was close, took it for paint, then bolted it on. Literally in five minutes the hood was replaced and fitted. I think the fit was better than the original.

Question: Hi I have a mark LT 2007 with aluminum hood. I was cautioned againt steel replacement do to weight difference. Is the stgeel much heavier?Charles / Oct 02, 2020
Hi Charles, While aluminum hood does increase in strength in colder environments, it is generally more prone to dents and scratches than steel. Steel is less likely to warp or bend from weight, force, or heat. These resistant properties make it one of the most durable industrial materials. And yes, steel is heavier than aluminum.

Yes you will need to replace the hydraulic hood props for the increased weight. You can find props fairly easy and they are inexpensive.
