Great part wrong vehicalSupercoil Series Ignition Coil, Sold Individually
4.0/5
I was excited to finally get the new coil in the mail. When I went to install it into my 2001 Taurus SES, V6 and was horrified to find out it doesn't fit in anyway beyond the 7 ignition cables. The 4 pin connector is wrong and the mounting bolts are not close to the 3 mounts in a triangle configuration. I spent some time researching into what vehicle/engine it did belong to and found that it fits the Ford Explorer's 97'-08' with the V6 4.0L (with the VIN digit E). I'm a shade tree mechanic so I won't try to jimmy rig it to fit. Shame I would have loved to see how it would have ran with it installed. Luck to anyone who buys it.
