My Son & his Toy!Ignition Coil, Sold Individually
4.0/5
I ordered this Ignition Coil for my son. And was very upset when his Toyota part didn't arrive on the scheduled or expected delivery date. I was more upset when two days after the delivery date I received the wrong part. I will have to say that after only one complaint to Carparts.com his ignition coil came rather quickly! We all make mistakes, so I'm gonna order from them again. I will let you know how it goes!!!

Nice part but had to do some tinkering.Ignition Coil, Sold Individually
4.0/5
Fits when installing. However when installing the spark plug wires (denso brand) the clip wouldnt clip on but I managed to get it on by trimming where the clip holds onto with a small box cutter when its bolted down. Just don't trim TOO much. Other than that after getting the clip to finally snap everything works!

Much less than the local Auto Parts store, and now the truck fires up within a 1/2 revolution. With original Toyota coil it took a couple of revolutions before it fired. Very happy as this will definitely help in cold winter months.

Question: Where is the igniter? Doesn't the coil fire the plugs. And what is the color of the wiring diagram?Susan C. / Feb 02, 2021
Hi Susan, The ignition ignitor is located inside the distributor. If you don't remove battery power, the potential of being shocked is extremely high. Step 2: Remove the engine cover. The distributor is commonly located in the passenger side on most smaller engines and on the driver side or behind the engine on V-8 engines. The spark plugs are fired directly from the coils. You do not have to worry about the wiring diagrams as this part is plug and play.
