Good quality and works great. The only thing is when I take the key out and have the door open it still makes the chime noise like the key is still in there

My only small complaint is the size of the key - it is smaller than the original which makes it a little harder to grab in the ignition and the keychain hole is smaller as well - get stuck sometimes. But the ignition switch itself is great.

Otherwise, security system continues to beep as if the key is still in the cylinder. Does your cylinder have this feature?Larry D. / Mar 17, 2022
Hello Larry,
This lock cylinder is not for use with vehicles with factory security systems because it does not have a transponder key.

The car is always beeping when the key is not in "on" mode and the door is open. Cylinder and key works fine mechanically and electronically.
I assumed the system is failing so I didn't pursuit to fix the fault. Perhaps I missed to do something when I installed the cylinder but nothing obvious to be Inoticed....
