Question: color should be grey...black and grey modules will not interchange .... is this a stock photo?A Shopper / Sep 06, 2020
Hi, This is the stock photo of the part. This module interchange part number is LX-241. It is the remote mounted module for several Ford models. To check the fitment please use our Vehicle Selector — which can be found towards the top of the homepage as well as all category, search results, and product pages — can help verify if a part will fit your specific application. To enter your application, simply select your vehicle’s year, make, model, sub-model, and engine type and click “Go.” Once your application is selected, you’ll see a “Guaranteed to Fit” badge if the part will fit, and we recommend that you also double-check Your Vehicle Fit Details as well as the Vehicle Fitment Information table on the product page.

Question: I have a 1994 Mustang GT 5.0 and my Module is remotely located on the passenger side fender and it is black. I have replaced the module 4 times in 2 years. I does not seen to matter what brand I purchase Motorcraft, Accel, standard they only seen to last 4-6 months. The vehicle is completely stock.. How long is the Warranty on your Module and is your Module any better... I hate being stranded and there is no warring when tbe part fails ?Kevin G. / Feb 09, 2021
Hi Kevin, This part is guaranteed to fit the 1994 Ford Mustang GT 8 Cyl 5.0L. This part has a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty. The number one reason that ignition modules go bad is because of heat. In most cars the distributor is located near the module. As the distributor ages and wears, the bushing in the shaft goes bad and starts to cause excessive heat.

These modules can last a very long time as long as you use the dielectric grease and coat the back with a very thin layer

Question: Hello there, I have a 1996 Ford f-150 XLT 5.0  E.F.I.  fender mounted ignition module, before mounting this new one, do i need to put on some special adhesive to the back metal plate before mounting? The reason i ask this is so that the module doesn't become grounded or Heated to the fender. or do I just mount it to the fender as it is.????RALPH N. / Mar 20, 2023
your module should come witj small pack of white grease.put a thin layer on module before putting it on.
