Where the part is manufactured determines the quality...Lateral Link, Moog R-Series

Moog is made in several parts of the world. If you're lucky enough to get the product made in the USA -- as I did -- then you will get a solid, sturdy looking part with clean welds. They put it in a sealed plastic bag and the yellow-blue sealed Moog box that ensures you got an authentic part. Parts made in China have the reputation of using inferior, hastily-made steel. They also don't wrap the part in plastic. The customer service at CarParts is knowledgeable and helpful. I'm not sure if the agents are native English speakers but they speak well enough.

No problem with the parts , not keen on the billing method . It will keep me from returning.
They put a Hold on your credit card for entire amount, then as each part is shipped they bill the card again, If you need $1000 in parts , you better have $2000 available, the hold will fall off in 5 days or so .

Design recallLateral Link, Moog R-Series

Learned that Ford did a recall on 2013-18 taurus for lateral link due to possibility the weld point may fail. This is the point where the shaft meets the bushing housing. The new design does not have a weld point and comes as a solid piece. My car is 2010, and outside the recall, but the part I received is designed no different from the recall part. And the replacement part i got from Carparts has the weld point. Hopefully i don't have a problem.
