Very easy. Remove the round clips that hold the rods in place, remove the rods, and re-insert the clips. WARNING! Don't bend the clips during the process! Replacement clips are nowhere to be found and once bent they are impossible to properly install.

Answered by Will L. / Thu, Aug 05I used a small screwdriver to pry off the clips holding on the worn out struts. Be sure to support the trunk lid open with a 2x4 or the like first. After removal, I put a bit of grease on the ball joints then the new struts snapped on. 10 minute job.

Answered by Richard S. / Thu, Aug 05Pretty self-explanatory...each lift shouldn't take more than 30-60 seconds to replace - even for a non-mechanical person like myself. Remove clips on old units, remove...remove clips on new units, install, replace clips. Bada boom, bada bing.
