i have a 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS. these trunk lid lift supports were a perfect fit. they were easy to replace. you just need a screw driver to help take the clips on and off the lift supports, that keep the lift supports in place. for my car, you don't need to compress the lift supports at all. they go on at the relaxed state of the lift supports. one little complaint i do have on the lift supports is that when you open the trunk. the trunk does not spring open. the trunk will not fall closed either under its own weight. the trunk lid will just stay where you push it to. it won't spring open or fall to the closed prosition. i wished it would spring open.
