Plug housing lil bit longMap Sensor

The plug was longer than the old one so I had to grind down part of the intake so the plug would turn to locking position but other than that awesome

Question: Is this part for code p1004 for 2014 dodge ram 1500?Jose S. / Mar 20, 2023
Hi Jose, I'm pleased to assist you. No, it is not. The code P1004 means the Short Runner Valve (SRV) system is out of calibrated range. SRV is used to improve engine performance. The SRV system allows the intake charge air to bypass the long intake manifold runners between the intake manifold plenum and the intake manifold interface to the cylinder heads by providing a shorter runner directly between the plenum and the cylinder head interface. Check the SRV valve assembly, SRV harness is open or shorted, SRV circuit poor electrical connection, or the PCM. We suggest having the vehicle checked by a certified mechanic for real-time diagnosis. Have a good one!

Hi Lee, I'm glad to assist you. For us to double-check carefully and be accurate on the part you need, please provide the complete information of your vehicle (year, make, model, submodel, and engine size). The VIN would be much helpful.
