I bought my truck in 2015, and it had a check engine light on then. Mechanic told me it wasn't anything to worry about at the time. 11 years later it was still on, and truck started stalling out, and dying on me until I replaced the Mass Air Flow sensor.
Truck is running very well now, and NO check engine light.
Simple to install with only a screwdriver, pair of pliers, and a wrench.
