this glass does NOT fit a 1994 astro. it's slightly too big for the mount.
i should've been tipped off initially by the product description, which listed a range of model years. i decided to try my luck and use the piece anyway. i stuck in on with epoxy, but being that it's too big, i decided to use 4 small pieces of clear packing tape, one on each side, for insurance.
so far (about 1000 miles later), the epoxy is still holding the glass in place.
i would've prefered a glass that fit properly, but whatever works...

Hi John, I'm glad to assist you. It has no backing plate and is attached with adhesive strips only. It is a convex type of mirror and a non-heated type. The other option is a flat mirror glass type, non-heated as well. But it has a backing plate to lock it in place. The part number is 56018. The powered mirror uses one with a backing plate. The one you need is part number 56018, by the Dorman brand. Click the link below to buy it today.
