Question: Can the mirror glass be on my own backing plate after the broken mirror is removes and the old backing plate cleaned up?Michael C. / Feb 14, 2023

Yes, it is possible to install a new mirror glass onto the old backing plate of your Chevy's side mirror.
To do this, you will need to remove the broken mirror glass from the backing plate, clean the backing plate thoroughly, and then attach the new mirror glass to the backing plate using an appropriate adhesive.
