It's unpainted black plastic so it will not match black paint. It's also not shiny.

Answered by Andrew B. / Wed, May 13Yes, it is paintable. The mirror cover that comes with it is black plastic. It needs to be sanded and roughed up to be painted. If your car is black, it will not match the paint.
