Hi Dan, I'm glad to assist you. Yes, the upper chrome cover is removable. You just have to be careful and meticulously remove the cap so as not to break the clips of the cap. You can also check DIY videos online about car parts removal and installation tutorials. I hope this helps. Happy shopping.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Thu, Apr 07Yes it is interchangeable and not hard to do. You need to remove the glass from the mirrors by getting your fingers behind it and pull it away from the clips, then you have access to the face cover clips which you simply prey gently to release and then snap the chrome cover one onto the new mirror and push the glass back on. Hope that helps.
