as far as my application the plastic that meets the door frame did not seal flush

If your car is equipped with heated side view mirrors, you have a convenient way to clear away ice, snow and fog from your mirrors. ... A small amount of heat is applied to the glass surface of the side mirrors. The heat evaporates moisture on the glass' surface and melts any ice that has built up.

Answered by Arnel E. / Thu, May 12Hi Glen, this mirror assembly is complete with plug-n-play wire harness and is heated. The unit was of good quality. I ultimately returned it because my parents Crown Victoria has body colored decorative caps that can be removed and applied to a replacement, this unit has a “cap”. Molded into the body so I couldn’t reuse the factory colored cap. This would need to be painted as( it’s all black) ABS. . I ultimately ordered a factory unit at 7X the price so I didn’t have to paint. Good luck, Tom.
