I ordered this to replace the factory mirror, which was damaged by a rock. I called the local dealership and they quoted me five hundred dollars to replace it. I then went to this site and found they were selling a part that fits for about seventy dollars. By going this route, I saved six hundred dollars (part plus labor).
One thing I have noticed is a slight whistling noise in the area of the replacement mirror. But, for the amount of money I saved, I can live with it.

Fits just fine but very basic. Not only missing the memory function and lighting but also the sensor for blindspot detection that doubles for cross-traffic detection when reversing. Given the low price, it is still a good value but know what you're getting.

Question: My mirror has the puddle light. Will this mount and work on my 2015 flex?A Shopper / Mar 07, 2021
Hi,
If your wiring socket connector coming off your door has a 5 or more prong terminals, with a 16 hole rectangular connector, this would fit, but you will not be able to use the puddle light since this new mirror does not have a puddle light and with only 5 prong terminals on this one.

Answered by Jeonino E. / Mon, Mar 08I bought this mirror ad then later ended up getting a OEM when I could afford it. The mirror fit fine, and was easy to install. The problem was since the all the connections aren’t available in this new mirror, puddle light, blind side detection, you’d have an alert you’d have to “ok” on your dash EVERY time you started up the Flex. It finally drove us crazy and 6 months later bought the correct mirror for an exorbitant price at Ford . :-(

Can I use this mirror and just not hook up the electric blind spot plug? I saw on comments below that someone had a problem with the blind spot alert going off because not plugged in.
