Question: Can I add this to a 2016 Chevy Malibou LT to give me blind spot monitoring?Joshua N. / Dec 09, 2022
Hi Joshua, I'm pleased to assist you. If your 2016 Chevrolet Malibu LT did not originally come with the blind spot, no, you can not use these mirrors. The blind spot uses the ultrasound sensors in the rear bumper so you'd need those, a new rear bumper cover (to accommodate the sensors), new outside mirrors (due to the warning icon in them), wiring harnesses, and software upgrade at a minimum. It'll take a lot of work. You can also go to the dealership to ask if there's a path that will let you add it, then sit down and ask what it costs. I hope this helps. have a good one.
