We replaced both the driver and passenger side mirrors on my 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. The clear coat had cracked and peeled on both original mirrors and they looked terrible! The replacement mirrors from <a href="http://CarParts.com" target="_blank">CarParts.com</a> are great! The image in the mirrors is sharp and clear and the housing is well made. Question: What does blind spot detection availability mean? Depending on your application.  We need this for our driver and passenger side mirrors.  I need blind spot detection, in housing turn signals, paintable housing covers.  Will auto paint come off during rainy weather?Mikes / Jan 26, 2023

This part is not yet painted so we can not answer your question regarding the paint. It will depend on the paint job. These mirrors do not have the technology for blind spot detection built into them. The turn signal indicators are built into the mirrors. The mirror housings will have to be painted by a body shop to match the original car’s paint.

If the vehicle you own is equipted with blind spot monitor, these will not work. Once the housings are painted, the paint will not come off in the rain.
