Answered by Grace G. / Sat, Jul 16If you want the mirror to match your car or the other mirror, you will need to paint it. I left mine the way it was (just black) and it looked fine. Sold the car, but before that I had no problems with rusting.

As per checking, this is not compatible for the GL submodel of the 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe. But fits the 3 other submodels- GLS, SE and Limited. The part number matching the GL submodel is SET-HY29ER. Answered by Jeonino E. / Fri, Mar 12I used it as a replacement for my 2008 Santa Fe that I gave to my youngest son. I don't believe Hyundai changed any thing from the 2007 model year. Was very simple to change out. Pop the inside cover out, take out 3 bolts, disconnect power.
