It is indicated that mirror should be able to fold in and out but there doesn’t appear to be the hardware for this to happen, this leads to the replaced mirror not folding while the stock one on the other side folds in.

I would like to confirm, if your original mirror is a power or manual folding? I am uncertain of the hardware you mentioned in your review. This part was ordered for a foreign friend who doesn't speak or read English well. However, he's quite crafty and likes to do things himself. I was shocked when i saw the $750 estimate from the dealership. That's when I searched for a replacement mirror online and found <a href="http://carparts.com." target="_blank">carparts.com.</a> He was so excited to see the price was $140-$150, but upset with the dealership at the same time. Boy was he cursing up a storm! Lol! When the part arrived it took him about an hour to an hour and a half to install. He had already painted it beforehand. I was very impressed with how good it looked! Identical with the exception that the new mirror has less wear than the original. Thanks <a href="http://carparts.com!!!" target="_blank">carparts.com!!!</a> You saved my friend $600.
