On my second bosal muffler for my 96 4-runner. The first one had the baffling break free internally after two years. This made the muffler rattle very loud. Tried running screws through the muffler to hold the baffling in place. After a couple days the baffling broke free again. Hoping this muffler lasts longer this time. Great price but questionable quality.

Perfect '98 4Runner FitMuffler

Perfect troublefree substitution for '98 4Runner 3.4L V6 engine 4-wheel drive. (Had to grind the old bolts off to get old muffler out, of course, but small problem. New gaskets and bolts from Toyota made this perfect fit.)

Toyota wanted $435.00 plus tax for the OEM muffler. CarX and Napa wanted $235. I paid $135 including shipping. It took about two hours to install the new muffler and most of that was trying to get the old rusty one off. The new one fit perfectly. It would be great if they included the correct bolts and gaskets. It is hard to run to the part stire when the muffler is off.
