I just had this exact muffler installed this morning. I kept the rest of the exhaust stock including the back resonator. The Toyota now has a slight low rumble sound at idle and cruising. Not much louder. Feels a little peppier, maybe better flow. I kept the stock muffler just in case, but it’s going to the recycling. I’m very pleased with this purchase. I feared I might not like it if it were too loud. Just a slight low tone, exactly what I desired. I had to study muffler engineering a little, but it paid off. Generally the larger cubic volume of the muffler, the quieter it will be. This one is 5x8x18, there are choices bigger than this one, and several smaller. I think the next largest one may have been too quiet, basically equivalent to stock. Stock exhaust is essentially silent, luxury car style.

I was looking for something that was louder than stock, but still not loud enough to annoy my neighbors or myself while driving. Called customer support and they helped guide be through which would be the best for me. This exceeded my expectations. Fun when you are on the gas but there is virtually zero drone when cruising.
