Question: Why won't my oil pickup fit inside the oil pump?Brian B. / Aug 02, 2021
Hi Brian, I'm glad to assist you. The oil pump re-circulates engine oil under pressure to the bearings, pistons and the camshaft. If the pressure reading on your gauge drops from a normal reading, the pump could be failing already. Low oil pressure means the pump isn't circulating enough oil, or there isn't enough oil in the system for the pump to circulate. Take advantage of our sale price promo for this oil pump. When i replaced my oil pump it was a bit of a pain to make it fit, you gotta make sure the pump is seated all the way against the front of the engine, and then as long as you have the right parts, everything should come together with a little bit of prying. Have you watched videos of the pump replacement to see if anything is off?

Answered by michael H. / Wed, Aug 04Question: My 2002 f150 oil gauge when down while driving do I need a oil pump?Tobias P. / Apr 12, 2024
Hi Tobias, I'm pleased to assist you. The dropping of the oil pressure gauge in a 2002 Ford F-150 could be caused by a variety of issues, including a faulty oil pressure sensor, low oil levels, or a more serious problem with the engine or oil pump. We suggest having your truck checked by a professional mechanic to determine what needs to be replaced. If you're still interested in this oil pump, use the link below to place your order while the part is in stock. Your order will come with a 30-day post-purchase price match guarantee.
