Question: P0420 code related to catalytic converter. Is that oxygen sensor problem or what else?ABDUL W. / Mar 26, 2022
Hi Abdul, I'm happy to assist you. The most common cause of that error code is the catalytic converter. Click this link for more information: https://www.carparts.com/blog/p0420-code-catalyst-system-efficiency-below-threshold-bank-1/ I hope this helps. Enjoy shopping at Carparts.com!

The P0420 code is VERY generic! It can be a number of different faults. From throttle position sensor to a number of or combination of other faults. This is the one code above all others I hate! Cat converter is just one example, there are more.
