Answered by Andrew B. / Sat, Apr 17I replaced the two pre-catalyst oxygen sensors on a 2007 Volkswagen Touareg. The toric actually has two catalytic converter ‘s. There is one pre-catalyst oxygen sensor for for each of the two catalytic converter ‘s. I did not replace the two post catalytic converter oxygen sensors. This inexpensive fix allowed us to erase the engine code and pass the omissions test good for two years. However, within four days afterwards the engine light came back on showing the same indication. I could probably change the post catalytic converter sensors to see if that illuminates to code. For us, the car is old and I am not going to invest further. Our local AutoZone loaned me the sensor extraction tools for free. Do not bother purchasing them. The tools worked perfectly. Good luck

Answered by Phil K. / Mon, Apr 19No sure but my 2012 Didge Ram 2500 6.7 Cummings Diesel only has 2 sensors (1 pair). Simple to change and fix my check engine light. Also recommend you put some Lucas Diesel injector oil in the diesel gas take to help clear the carbon off. You might want to burn a tank full of diesel before you change the sensors! My O2 sensors are underneath truck on the passenger side before and after the catalytic converter.
