This is the second one of these radiators I've purchased (my family has four 5.0L V8 Explorers). I couldn't have been happier with the first one, which has now been installed for 18 mos. When I needed a new radiator for a recently acquired truck, there was no question which one to buy. The radiator is simple to install, reattaching the A/C condenser is not. This is not the radiator's fault.

We found this radiator online in a google search, and we are very happy with this find. It fits our 2001 Ford Explorer XLT perfectly, was relatively easy to install with our son's help, and once in place, we were able to start up and drive the car with no issues. Very Happy!

Replaced my leaking OE radiator at 180K. Installation was a wrestling match, but that's Ford's fault. The replacement radiator looks and fits like OE. I had excellent instructions, w/pictures, from a friend on an Explorer/Mountaineer forum. The job took me 4 hours from start to washing my hands and putting away my tools. So far, I'm very happy with the radiator.

Question: Does this radiator have the ability to insert the condenser into the radiator tanks? With a 302 V8 it should.Steve W. / Nov 13, 2022
