Okay the radiator fit perfectly the only problem was the transmission coolant lines and oil fitting were to small I have 5/8 lines fittings but all good I had to work modify some fittings because I needed my truck thank you for everything

Sorry i have tried to rewrite a review for the four time, just wanted to say it fitted perfectly no issues with fittings , compared to the competitors , wrong size n fittings not the right size, also who ever replaces radiator with the 8.1 engine they might have to replace the thermostat housing water outlet n gasket it gets weak with age , also can't replace gasket by itself because no one sells it u can make it out of gasket maker or that especially paper, if u think the thermostat housing outlet is still good an u replace it with a new one u might want to keep it as a back up , good luck everyone, the radiator was as the salesperson described oem replacement.

I had fitment issues as well with the transmission and oil cooler lines I ended up going to the dealer with my vin number and got a a/c delco radiator from them this resolved all my fitment issues. I hope this helps

Hello!
On GM vehicles with these "quick connect" type cooler fittings, you can usually replace the connector separately from the radiator. Have you looked to see whether the connectors on your radiator are the threaded in type that can be replaced?

Hello! This radiator only fits factory installed 8.1L engine WITH the 5-speed automatic Allison transmission. If your vehicle has a 4-speed Auto and a different engine, please enter YMM if part finder for correct radiator.

Question: I have a 2001 Silverado 2500 HD ,LS, 8.1L ALLISON Trans. 5 speed auto. Here's my question all the books show 2 different models. Two different radiators for my truck One is a 3/8 and one is 5\8 in Fitting Opening where the cooler lines come into the transmission. The ones on my truck are 7/8in. I've ordered 4 different radiators. And I had to send everyone back. Because those lines that I have on my truck will not finto the radiator they have quick connect fittings, but nothing that i've ordered or can find has a 7/8 inch opening. Maybe there's an adapter kit. I can buy along with the radiator I'll buy it immediately. I just need to be pointed in the right direction thank you?Jason B. / Nov 22, 2023
