It works but it's not the bestRadiator, 3.5L/3.9L Engines, Aluminum Core, Plastic Tank

The way it fastens to the hoses is a little janky and I lost a lot of radiator fluid the first time I tried to install it because of that. Just gotta make sure you triple check everything is aligned properly.

Question: Is it hard to change The radiator for 2006 Malibu Maxx lt?Calvin K. / Oct 09, 2020
Hi Calvin, We recommend referring to a good repair manual for step by step instructions. It may require basic automotive knowledge for proper installation and professional installation is always recommended. You can find more information here: https://www.carparts.com/blog/why-you-should-always-consult-a-repair-manual/

On a 2002 Malibu Max, I found the best approach was pulling the radiator out the top. However it was not exactly easy. Remove the headlights and then the bolts and plastic body pins of the piece between the grill and radiator; there was one or two hidden in the middle of the bottom side of that which were tricky to locate. Once loose, it was tight, but doable without damaging the part. You won't need to remove the entire plastic front grill and bumper covers as some YouTube videos mention, but pretty sure I had over 6 working hours on it. Disclaimer, I am not a mechanic by trade. Good luck!
