Question: My 2011 exterra pro 4x shows a coil spring with a shock inside for front shock/ strut assembly. Do I use the old coil spring with new shock/strut?Edward E. / Apr 28, 2022
Hi Edward, I'm pleased to assist you. Most coil springs are supposed to last for around 200,000 miles before it is changed. It is okay to just replace the struts and still use the old coil springs on your 2011 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X 6 Cyl 4.0L if your mileage is less than 200,000. All KYB Shock Absorbers, Struts and Strut Cartridges (Except KYB Strut-Plus™, Electronic and Self-Leveling Units) Note: “Lifetime” means for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the vehicle on which the KYB products were originally installed.
