Question: I purchased these KYB Loaded Struts SR4189 and SR4190 from Carparts, for my 2009 Honda Accord LX-P with a manual 5 Speed Gearbox. The Product info states Guaranteed to fit. The top mounting plate of the new Strut has six studs 3 - 14 mm and 3 - 12 mm. My original Equipment Strut has only 3 - 14 mm studs, and three 12 mm holes, with no studs included. Those holes do line up with the studs of the KYB loaded Strut. I like confirmation before I install them, that this wont mess up my future ride and alignments? Hi Dave, I'm glad to help you out. In my opinion, the KYB struts offer better performance for very little increase in cost over the factory struts. KYB shocks and struts handle much better than factory equipment and are generally an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) equivalent replacement with similar valving and damping characteristics.
