This would not be a rougher ride but will give the opposite result, a smoother ride. This is a guaranteed fit for your given vehicle application. The strut assembly is a combination of spring and shock absorber to support the weight of the vehicle's engine in the front. The rear usually has a smaller diameter strut assembly or simply a shock absorber installed.
