Question: I recently had to hotwire my 99 Chevy c1500 because the gear in the ignition housing unit had broke. So I replaced the unit and even the cylinder lock. Now the truck will crank but won't start. I was wondering will getting this new starter fix this problem? As I believe I may have destroyed it by initially hotwiring it to get it to move.Blair H. / Mar 05, 2023
Hi Blair, I'm glad to assist you. It looks like you need the ignition switch wiring assembly. The part number is REPC505207. The hotwire shorted out the circuit. You may need to replace a fuse as well. Grab our low-price offer and click the link below to buy it today. Happy shopping!
