FJ CruiserT Connector - Sold Individually
3.0/5
A T kit implies simplicity of installation. On the FJ it is not a simple job. You need to remove the sub-woofer if installed. the rear scuff panel. unfasten and pull back the trim panels on both sides. remove the floor tie downs, floor mat with panel clips; and in my case the bag hooks on the side wall - which is not mentioned in the directions. The directions for removing the sub-woofer grill could be more helpful with an illustration and step 7 of the instructions say repeat step 7 when I think they mean 6.The direction to remove the floor hooks say use a Philips head, mine are 10 mm hex w/o a Philips slot. As noted in other comments you still have to run a battery wire for the use of the converter box, also usually not expected with a T kit. When you are done you feel like you have taken half the vehicle apart. It is taking longer to install the T kit than it took to install the hitch. The direction do note it is helpful to have a panel clip removal tool. I rated this product as a 3 because the plug is not externally mounted, the directions could be better and because it is a difficult install on this particular vehicle.
