Question: I have a 2017 Ram 1500 Sport 4x4 and it is stating brake light out but I do not see a spot to remove bulb? They look exactly like these.Chris / Feb 20, 2022
Hi Chris, I'm glad to assist you. To replace the bulbs, you will have to uncover the lens from the housing. If you notice the small 4 pieces of white screws at the back of the housing, simply loosen up those and your lens would go off. You will be able to replace the busted bulbs. Answered by Jeonino E. / Sun, Feb 20I had the same issue. These are LEDs and the “bulbs” can’t be changed. When this notification comes up, it’s because one or more of the LEDs are starting to go out. So you’ll still see the lights working, but eventually they’ll all go out. So you will need to replace the entire housing which is both expensive and annoying compared to just one bulb. The reverse light bulb is the only bulb in the housing that can be changed. Hope this helped.

Answered by Chris C. / Sun, Feb 20Being an LED tail light, you're going to have to replace the whole assembly. I had to do that already. I tried to take it apart by removing the four screws but that red lens is sealed tightly to the back back housing. You risk cracking the red lens by trying to remove it so if you try, be very careful.

Answered by Robert F. / Mon, Feb 21There are no light bulbs in the tail lights. They are LED. It is an entire unit. Just make sure it is the tail light and not the 3rd brake light. I had a message saying the tail light was out. It was the 3rd brake light. Which is a bulb.

The wiring plug on the 3080AC appears to be 5 prong and the led connecter on my tail light is a 4 prong in a square pattern. they look the same in shape and size but are they the same wiring harness?

Hello! The LED is not meant to be replaced. I don't recommend trying to disassemble the housing.
