I knew before I purchased this product that the old cable would need to be drilled out from its clamp on the tailgate, so it was not a big deal. However don't expect to receive this product in the mail, and walk out to your vehicle and just put it on. Otherwise, this product was exactly what I ordered, the price was competitive, and it arrived in a short period of time. Thanks JCWhitney
